What’s the Birdhouse?
The Birdhouse is an open community space in the historic 4th and Gill Neighborhood of Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Birdhouse is an all volunteer-run effort, incorporated with the State of Tennessee and fiscally sponsored through Community Shares of Knoxville.
This project, funded only by the people, is a completely unique enterprise where the whole region comes together to create, build, eat, garden, dance, learn, share and organize with and for each other.
Currently, we are actively raising funds for the repair and upkeep of the building; an 1880′s Victorian-era home.
