Naturalizing Your Lawn Seminar: Turning urban spaces into natural habitats for native Tennessee plants and animals, in order to reduce “pesky” insects and exotic plants. We will discuss strategies and practices to save energy and time on your lawn and benefit our community and environment!

Tuesday, November 5
9pm Music : The Saturday Giant is the one-man art-rock band from Columbus, Ohio, established in 2010. Since then, The Saturday Giant has produced three releases, played dozens of shows across the U.S., collaborated with technology conferences and performing arts groups, and become one of the most respected acts in his hometown—all while crafting an innovative and compelling live show in which he sculpts layers of guitars, drums, bass lines, beat boxing, keyboards and vocals into towering walls of sound, without the aid of prerecorded samples. Jay Allen and Luke Brogden will also be playing.

Saturday, November 9
9p, Music : Kate and Corey. Kate Shaffer and Corey Coleman are a Bluesy Americana duo that have quickly made a big name for themselves. In the last two years, they have gone from playing on the street in downtown Buffalo, NY, making 300 dollars a month, to appearing at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN as one of five National finalists in the Texaco Country Showdown.

November 15
9pm Music : Harold Honey with Jenn & Basho. Sweet, harmony-rich, indie folk music from the moody hills of the Pacific Northwest. Fused with lofty strings and hauntingly lush vocals, Jenn Rawling and Basho Parks’ duo project is a delight to behold onstage. Ranging from up-tempo folk-Americana to classic country, Rawling composes highly melodic songs from fascinating scraps of images and phrases, singing them with an engaging yodel-edged alto.

Combining fresh music with a high quality sound system and a relaxed atmosphere makes this party a great place to get lost on the dance floor. Featuring St. Thomas LeDoux, Dialectic Sines, and Alex Falk.

Saturday, November 23
9pm Music : Join us for a night of raucus fun with Asheville’s Sirius.B!  Sirius.B’s music is created with an eclectic mix of vocal harmonies and instruments including cello, accordion, violin, marching band & African percussion (by Imhotep, also of Rising Appalachia), charango, flamenco and acoustic guitar, banjo, and melodica.  Sirius.B brings to you the finest Absurdist Gypsy Folk Funk Punk that the world has to offer. Their “impressively irreverent, combustible, three-ring circus of sound [and] high-energy style is difficult to neatly categorize. They play foreign music as well as upbeat and serious originals, with a lyrical style ranging from the quirky to the absurd.”
